State Minister Ino participates in the 35th General Assembly of the Italy-Japan Business Group (IJBG) and holds talks with Mr. Valentino Valentini, Vice-Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy of the Italian Republic

On Tuesday, May 26, Mr. Ino Toshiro, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, participated in the 35th General Assembly of the Italy-Japan Business Group (IJBG) where he delivered opening remarks. He also held a meeting with Mr. Valentino Valentini, Vice-Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy of the Italian Republic, and confirmed that the two countries will continue to cooperate in order to deepen bilateral economic relations.
State Minister Ino addressed the industrial sectors of the two countries participating in the 35th General Assembly of the Italy-Japan Business Group (IJBG), mentioning that relations between the two countries have been elevated to a Special Strategic Partnership. He emphasized the high potential for industrial cooperation between Japan and Italy and the importance of collaboration between the industrial sectors of the two countries through the IJBG based on the Japan-Italy Action Plan. At the IJBG, under themes such as Connected Mobility & Infrastructure (Creating New Value Connecting Air, Land, and Cities) and Creating Synergies through Japan-Italy Industrial Collaboration, participants engaged in lively exchanges of views on the potential for cooperation regarding the advanced technologies held by Japanese and Italian companies.
During the meeting with Vice-Minister Valentini, State Minister Ino exchanged views on the need for cooperation in the field of economic security, based on the Japan-Italy summit meeting last January, and on cooperation toward strengthening supply chains resilience.
