Minister AKAZAWA Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry of Malaysia

On Tuesday, June 9, Mr. AKAZAWA Ryosei, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry of Malaysia. They exchanged views on resources and energy, as well as industrial cooperation.
During the meeting, taking into account the situation in the Middle East, the two sides confirmed that they would work together under the Partnership on Wide Energy and Resources Resilience Asia (POWERR Asia) to ensure energy security and resilience. They also agreed to further strengthen public-private cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in various industry sectors, including critical minerals, automobiles, and AI.
