State Minister Ino Attends Events of the “Team Canada Trade Mission” to Japan

The Team Canada Trade Mission to Japan is part of the large-scale Team Canada Trade Missions dispatched by the Government of Canada to various countries. The missions support Canadian companies in expanding their businesses and collaborating with local partners in the international market. This is the second mission to Japan since 2023.

This mission, led by the Honourable Maninder Sidhu, Minister of International Trade of Canada, has brought together about 300 representatives from Canadian companies in various fields including defense and security, information and communications technologies, clean technologies and energy transition, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.

State Minister Ino attended the plenary session and reception for the Team Canada Trade Mission to Japan and delivered remarks as a guest of honor. In his remarks, in light of the Japan-Canada Summit Meeting held in March 2026 and other developments, he emphasized the importance of strengthening economic relations between Japan and Canada and expressed his high expectations for the development of the projects carried out through cooperation between companies from both countries.
