Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition Celebrates the Opening of Its Tokyo Office, and Signs an Agreement with the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) to Promote Cooperation

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has opened its Tokyo Office as a base for communication and cooperation in Tokyo and the rest of the country, and held an opening ceremony with Mr. Wakamiya Kenji, Minister for the World Expo 2025, in attendance. The Association also signed an agreement toward promoting comprehensive cooperation with the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) to ensure the security of IT systems, develop human resources, and work toward other goals together.

1. Holding of the Tokyo office's opening ceremony

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has opened its Tokyo office in Toranomon in Tokyo's Minato City as a new base for building momentum on a nationwide scale.
The opening ceremony took place on July 26 (Tue.) with Mr. Wakamiya Kenji, Minister for the World Expo 2025, and Mr. Haneda Koji, the Japanese government's representative for the 2025 World Exposition, in attendance. With that, the office went into operation.
The Tokyo office will be used as a base to spread information in Tokyo and nationwide, and to strengthen cooperation with relevant ministries, companies, and organizations to accelerate the preparations toward Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

2. Signing of an agreement on comprehensive cooperation with the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA)

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has signed an agreement to promote comprehensive cooperation with the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (Bunkyo City, Tokyo; representative: Mr. Tomita Tatsuo, Chairman; hereinafter the "IPA") as follows.
The agreement's aim is to lead Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan to success through mutual cooperation and contribute to achieving the SDGs and Society 5.0.
The Association will work together with the IPA on projects such as mutually advertising and communicating their activities through networks in Japan and ensuring the security of IT and OT systems.
