IAEA Officials will Visit TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station to Observe Sampling of the ALPS Treated Water for Analysis

On October 19, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) officials will visit TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) and observe the taking of sampling of the ALPS treated water.
On October 19, IAEA officials will visit TEPCO’s FDNPS and observe TEPCO’s sampling of the ALPS treated water from ALPS treated water storage tank. (This will be the third time that IAEA officials observe sampling, following the visits to Japan in February* and March** of this year). In order to corroborate the analysis conducted by TEPCO, radioactive materials in their samples will be analyzed at the IAEA laboratories and third-party laboratories.
