The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement will Enter into Force in Indonesia

Joint Press Release with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On November 3 (Thu.), the Republic of Indonesia deposited its Instrument of Ratification of the RCEP Agreement to the Secretary-General of ASEAN (the Depositary). With this deposit, the RCEP Agreement will enter into force in Indonesia 60 days later, on January 2, 2023 (Mon.).
In addition to the current 12 countries (including Japan), the RCEP Agreement will also enter into force in Indonesia
On November 3 (Thu.), the Republic of Indonesia deposited its Instrument of Ratification of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement to the Secretary-General of ASEAN (the Depositary).
With this deposit by Indonesia, the agreement will enter into force there on January 2, 2023 (Mon.). It has already entered into force in Japan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, China, South Korea, and New Zealand.
