The 11th Japan-India Energy Dialogue Held

On Monday, August 25, Mr. Muto Yoji, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and H.E. Shri Manohar Lal, Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs of the Republic of India, co-chaired the 11th Japan-India Energy Dialogue as a video conference. During the dialogue, both sides exchanged views towards further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of energy.
On Monday, August 25, the ministerial-level Japan-India Energy Dialogue was held under the Japan-India Clean Energy Partnership signed by the leaders of the two countries in 2022.
During the dialogue, both sides confirmed their achievements of cooperation in the following four fields: (1) power and energy conservation, (2) new and renewable energy, (3) petroleum and natural gas, and (4) coal. They also discussed fields that have potential for future cooperation. They then released a joint statement and agreed on a joint declaration of intent on cooperation in clean hydrogen and clean ammonia.
