1. SX Brands: Aiming for management and business transformation to sustainably increase corporate value

SX is an initiative in which companies strive to improve long-term and sustainable corporate value by synchronizing the sustainability of society with that of themselves while carrying out the necessary management and business reforms to achieve such synchronization. METI and TSE have started a project to select SX Brands, a group of progressive companies that enhance their ability to create growth capital in a sustainable manner through SX with the aim of improving corporate value.

We expect publicizing SX Brands will help disseminate the advanced initiatives for SX management of the outstanding companies among a wide range of other Japanese companies and further promote dialogues by the companies and their engagement with investors inside and outside Japan. This is expected to result in increased investment in Japan and a higher valuation of Japanese companies in capital markets.
