The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), with ASEAN’s government agencies, launched a cooperation scheme for new innovations called “ASEAN-JAPAN Co-Creation Fast Track Initiative” in 2023 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship Cooperation. The Fast Track Pitch events held under the initiative to date attracted a total of more than 2,650 people from a range of organizations including startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large companies, investors and supporting organizations. These events have contributed to accelerating the implementation of various collaborative initiatives between Japanese and ASEAN companies.
This year, as the third round of this initiative, pitch events will be held in the following four countries: the Republic of Singapore, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Malaysia, and the Republic of Indonesia.
