May 18, 2026
Joint news release with the Tokyo Stock Exchange
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) have started a project for selecting and awarding SX (Sustainability Transformation) Brands, a group of progressive companies that enhance their ability to generate growth capital in a sustainable manner through SX with the aim of improving corporate value.
For the third edition of this initiative, METI and the TSE selected 15 companies as SX Brands 2026. In addition, this year, two companies were newly selected as SX nominated companies 2026.

1.Outline of SX Brands
SX is an initiative in which companies strive to improve long-term and sustainable corporate value by synchronizing the sustainability of society with their own while carrying out the necessary management and business reforms to achieve such synchronization.
METI and the TSE have started a project to select SX Brands, a group of progressive companies that enhance their ability to generate growth capital in a sustainable manner through SX with the aim of improving corporate value.
Publicizing SX Brands will help disseminate the advanced initiatives for SX management of the outstanding companies among a wide range of other Japanese companies and further promote dialogues by the companies and their engagement with investors inside and outside Japan. This is expected to result in increased investment in Japan and a higher valuation of Japanese companies in capital markets.
2.Successful companies selected as SX Brands 2026
From October 6 to November 28, 2025, METI and the TSE opened a call for TSE-listed companies to apply to become SX Brands 2026.
