SX Brands

1. Outline of SX Brand

SX is an initiative in which a company strives to improve long-term and sustainable corporate value by synchronizing the sustainability of society with that of itself while carrying out the necessary management and business reforms to achieve such synchronization.

METI and TSE have started a project to select SX Brands, a group of progressive companies that enhance their ability to generate growth capital in a sustainable manner through SX with the aim of improving corporate value.

We expect publicizing SX Brands will help disseminate the advanced initiatives for SX management of the outstanding companies among a wide range of other Japanese companies and further promote dialogues by the companies and their engagement with investors inside and outside Japan. This is expected to result in increased investment in Japan and a higher valuation of Japanese companies in capital markets.

2. Successful companies selected as SX Brands 2025

From September 18 to November 18, 2024, METI and TSE opened a call for TSE-listed companies to apply to become SX Brands 2025. We selected 13 companies as below from among the applicants as SX Brands 2025 based on the results of the examination conducted by the SX Brand Evaluation Committee.

From among the applicants not selected as SX Brands 2025, the following two companies have been newly selected this year as SX Nominated Companies for their outstanding efforts that deserve special attention.

4. SX Brands 2025 Report

METI and the TSE aim to disseminate the advanced initiatives for SX of the outstanding companies among a wide range of other Japanese companies and further promote dialogues of the companies and their engagement with investors inside and outside Japan. To this end, we announced the SX Brands 2025 and also prepared and published the SX Brands 2025 Report, which introduces the selected companies’ initiatives.
