Cabinet Decision on the Cabinet Order to Partially Amend the Export Trade Control Order

A Cabinet Decision was made on June 27, 2023, on the Cabinet Order to Partially Amend the Export Trade Control Order (hereinafter referred to as the "Export Order”) under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (hereinafter referred to as “FEFTA”). The decision concerned the addition of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to the list of the countries in Appended Table 3 of the Export Order.

*Note: Under this system, if an exporter intends to export any goods not in the export regulatory list but the goods could be used for the development, manufacture, use, or storage of weapons of mass destruction or conventional weapons, the exporter is required to file an application for an export license.
