DX Stocks 2024, Noteworthy DX Companies 2024 and DX Platinum Companies 2024-2026 Selected

1. Outline of the DX Stocks

From among TSE-listed companies, METI and the organizations select outstanding companies that have internally established systems for promoting DX, an approach that contributes to improving corporate value, and that have achieved outstanding utilization of digital technologies as DX Stocks. Through this selection, METI and the organizations aim to widely publicize successful companies as role models for any other companies and encourage business executives to improve their awareness of DX, while further promoting DX by helping companies to receive evaluation from a wide variety of stakeholders. The selected companies of DX Stocks are those which continue to make outstanding efforts to not only introduce exceptional information systems and utilize data but also boldly change their very business models and management practices based on digital technologies. In addition, aiming to strongly encourage companies’ efforts for DX that contribute to enhancing their competitiveness, METI and the organizations chose outstanding companies that strongly exercise leadership in the digital era from among the selected companies mentioned above and recognized them as winners of the DX Grand Prix 2024. Furthermore, METI and the organizations selected companies that have been continuing particularly remarkable DX efforts as winners of the Platinum DX Companies 2024-2026, while expecting these companies to further play leadership roles and also expecting these outstanding efforts to become role models for other companies in tackling efforts of DX.

2. List of selected companies

(1) DX Grand Prix 2024 (in the order of industries)

From among the 25 companies selected for the DX Stocks 2024 category, METI and the organizations chose the following three as companies that have conducted outstanding efforts for the DX Grand Prix 2024 category.

(2) DX Stocks 2024 (in the order of industries; in the order of securities codes; excepting the companies selected for the DX Grand Prix 2024 category)

METI and the organizations chose 22 outstanding companies that have been making efforts to boldly change their business models based on digital technologies and take on DX that contributes to new growth and enhanced competitiveness as winners of the DX Stocks 2024 (except for the companies selected for the DX Grand Prix 2024 category).

(3) Noteworthy DX Companies 2024 (in the order of industries; in the order of securities codes)

From among the companies not selected for the DX Stocks 2024 category, METI and the organizations chose the following 21 companies that have been making noteworthy efforts, in particular efforts for contributing to corporate value, as winners of the Noteworthy DX Companies 2024.

(4) DX Platinum Companies 2024-2026 (in the order of industries)

METI and the organizations selected the following two companies that have been continuing particularly remarkable DX efforts as winners of the DX Platinum Companies 2024-2026.

Requirements that winners of the DX Platinum Companies 2024-2026 category should meet:

• Winners must be companies selected for the DX Stocks category for three consecutive years.
• Winners must be companies selected for the DX Grand Prix category in the past.

Note: This selection is a temporary measure effective for a limited period of three years. Accordingly, METI and the organizations set the title of the category as DX Platinum Companies 2024-2026.

3. Report on selected companies for the DX Stocks 2024 category and ceremony for the companies

On Monday, May 27, 2024, METI and the organizations jointly held a ceremony for the selected companies for DX Stocks 2024 category. Taking this opportunity, METI and the organizations released the report as a compilation of the efforts by the selected companies for the DX Stocks 2024 (including DX Grand prix 2024), Noteworthy DX Companies 2024, and DX Platinum Companies 2024-2026 categories and the analysis results of the responses collected in the 2024 Survey for DX. METI publicized the report on the following website and encourages the public to view the report. Moreover, details of the ceremony, including a keynote speech, introduction of the efforts by the winners for the DX Grand Prix 2024 category and a panel discussion, are scheduled to be released on a METI website at later date. METI will also put information about that website on the following webpages and encourage you to visit them.
