SX Brands

1. Outline of SX Brand

SX is an initiative in which companies strive to improve long-term and sustainable corporate value by synchronizing the sustainability of society with that of itself while carrying out the necessary management and business reforms to achieve such synchronization.
METI and TSE have started a project for selecting and awarding as SX Brands a group of progressive companies that enhance their ability to create a source of funds for growth in a sustainable manner through SX to realize the improvement of corporate value.

We expect that, by publicizing SX Brands, outstanding companies’ progressive efforts for SX management will be disseminated among a wide range of other Japanese companies and that companies’ dialogues and engagement with investors inside and outside Japan will be further promoted, thereby not only expanding investment in Japan but also improving the evaluation of Japanese companies in capital markets.

2. Successful companies selected as SX Brands 2024

From October 2 to November 30, 2023, METI and TSE opened a call for TSE-listed companies to apply to become SX Brands 2024. We selected 15 companies as below from among the applicants as SX Brands 2024 based on the results of the examination by the SX Brand Evaluation Committee.

3. SX Brands 2024 Report

METI and TSE aim to disseminate outstanding companies’ progressive efforts for SX among a wide range of other Japanese companies and further promote companies’ dialogues and engagement with investors inside and outside Japan, and to this end, we announced SX Brands 2024 and also prepared and published the SX Brands 2024 Report, which explains the selected companies’ efforts.

4. SX symposium2024

The SX Symposium 2024 was held on May 24, 2024. The symposium provided a commendation ceremony for SX Brands 2024, presentations by selected companies, a panel discussion by investors and companies in Japan and the United States, etc.
